A Kakiemon cup and saucer

A white porcelain tea cup and saucer painted in the above-glaze colours blue, ironred, green, aubergine, black and yellow. Both are decorated with the Kakiemon decoration of blue water, a green rocky shore on which a flowering prune.

On the saucer a bird sits in the tree; on the cup it flies away.
