Dutch decorated
Chinese porcelain plate, with brown (iron oxide) rim. Polychrome decoration of the allegory of Taste; a lady is about to eat a fruit, a monkey eats from dish full of fruit. A wine glass (a tazza) and a large ewer stand in the front. In the back there are people picking apples. Beneath the decoration the words: De Smaak (The Taste).
