18th century glass

To a good love life

On the bowl a very fine engraving of a rooster mating a hen on a grass ground, which ends in a stylised flower and symmetrical decorations of 'S's and 'C's, and a grape vine and a laurel, corn beneath. The grape vine symbolizes fertility and the wine for the toast, the laurel stands for the victory (of love) and the corn for abundance. Above this  the words 'TOUT CE QUI CHATOUILLE ET MOUILLE'. These glasses were used to wish eachother a good love life.
