Ceremonial glass with diamond line engraving from the times of the fights and struggles between the Patriots and Orange- minded, to drink to the family of Orange. On one side of the bowl an orange tree with the coats of arms of Willem V and Wilhelmina of Prussia hanging from it, and the text

VIVAT ORANJE EN PRUISEN

On the other side of the bowl the inscription:

ORANJE AAN NEDERLAND

GEHUWD

ZAL BLOEYEN HOE DE

NYD OOK GRUWD

(Orange married to The Netherlands will blossem regardless the shiver of the envy)

Signed and dated I. Spaan 1787. Spaan used a much earlier English leadglass for his engraving. The glass dates from circa 1680.
